writes FMU vice president Kisitu Mayanja explained that the allocation is based on the driver’s performance in the previous season.

Competitors will retain the numbers in 2008 although the starting order may change in some events.
The system was started last season to conform to the world motorsport body, FIA regulation.

Jas Mangat is third while 2006 champion Ronald Ssebuguzi who competed in only four of the six events is fourth. Rookie Leonard Bagarukayo is fifth with Kenyan Peter Horsey sixth.

Former champions Moses Lumala, Charles Muhangi and Charlie Lubega who were out of action are off the list.
