Wakiso schools get stoves
WAKISO-To conserve the environment, the National Environment Management Authority and the district have launched an energy-saving campaign in primary schools. The pilot projects are at Namasuba Umea and St. Andrew Ndejje primary schools in Makindye -Ssabagabo sub-county. Two energy-saving stoves were constructed at the two schools. Mariam Nankya of Namasuba said:“We used to utilise a truck of firewood for only two weeks. But now the firewood can take us for over a month because of using the new energy-saving stoves.â€
