Kamya donates kit to Nkumba
RUGBY - Gideon Kamya yesterday donated a rugby kit that included jerseys and balls to Nkumba University. Kamya, who plays for Bracknell Rugby Club in the UK and is here for national duty, handed the kit to Nkumba’s sports tutor Patrick Ssebuliba at the Uganda Rugby Union offices in Lugogo. “This is a small contribution but I think it will help in the development of Uganda Rugby,” Kamya said. He thanked Salabed Shipping Company that met all the freight costs.

Pirates bring in fitness coach

RUGBY - Rugby Super 8 League club G4S Pirates is set to sign Okot Omony as their fitness coach this season, club director Mohamed Issa has revealed. Omony is the athletics federation vice president (technical) and national team fitness coach. “We are in advanced stages to put pen to paper and he is to start work before the second round starts in July,” Issa said. Omony confirmed the development.

Geria vows to defend his title

Participants will battle in a 10-game thriller under the pairing rule system in the one-day event. It is a six Swiss pairing system the players will have to go through first. The King of the Hill system will be used in the last four games.
