Fights were a constant punctuation of last Sunday’s function at Nakivubo with notable ones involving Saracen guards vs bouncers, Saracen guards vs singer Clever J and Bobi Wine vs Bebe Cool.

For lack of space, snoops can only bring you the battle of artistes. Behind the dais, offstage, away from most revellers, two celebrated singers, Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine jumped at each other’s throats in a fight that almost kicked off on the stage. It started at about midnight.

After presenting his songs, Bebe Cool announced that there are only two great musicians in Uganda; him and Chameleone. This did not go down well with the Ghetto president, Bobi Wine who approached the stage and met Bebe Cool descending backstage. Bobi demanded to know why his name was not on Bebe’s list of great musicians and before anybody could make out what the other was saying, someone from Bobi Wine’s group sent a stunning punch into Bebe Cool’s face. Bebe fell flat and passed out.

That flagged of a brawl between the two groups, attracting organisers who included Raga Dee and Abbey Mukiibi as well as the Police. And just as some semblance of calm was settling upon the battle scene, Bebe Cool regained his consciousness and declared fresh war.

But before he could land on Bobi Wine’s throat, his kanyamas (body guards) grabbed him and forced him into his car, leaving Bobi Wine declaring victory as an international boxer.
