JANET Achola set a new personal best time in the 800m in one of the highlights of Saturday’s MTN national junior championships at Namboole.
Achola, who had clocked 2:09.9 over the distance in April, used the competitiveness of Standard Athletics Juliet Chekwel to sprint in the last 200m to a new best of 2:06.2.
In another key result later in what was also a university trial, KIU’S Ali Ngaimoko stunned national 400m ace Wilson Lukungu.
