KAMPALA Kids League KKL qualified for the last 16 of the Gothia Cup, with more impressive displays on the Heden AstroTurf yesterday.

KAMPALA Kids League KKL qualified for the last 16 of the Gothia Cup, with more impressive displays on the Heden AstroTurf yesterday.

The U-12 boys thumped Swedish sides Savedalens IF 1 (18-0) and Danderyds SK1 (21-0) to set up a clash with another Swedish side Gunnilse IS in the quarterfinals.

The Stanbic Bank sponsored side could meet favourites KFV Segeberg from Germany.

The Gothia cup semi-finals and finals will be played today with KKL optimistic to lift the coveted trophy for the sixth time in both categories.

Elsewhere, Edgars Youth Programme U-11 side whipped PUUMA Tolinn Koplin of Sweden 6-0 in the first round of the quarter finals. Edgars U15 lost in their last game and now are out of the competition.
