SOCCER governing body FUFA meets Super Division Clubs SDCA today to chart a way to develop the game in the next ten years. A 10-year Uganda Super League Strategic Plan with stakeholders will be discussed at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole from 9am.

The plan dubbed the “2020 plan” is expected to detail recruitment, administration, development and marketing strategies for the Uganda Super League.

The meeting that was due yesterday was postponed to allow FUFA merge it with the Uganda Super League officials’ workshop that will follow tomorrow.

The USL workshop will also discuss the roles of FUFA and SDCA to jointly develop the game following the deteriorating relationship between the two bodies.

The two-day residential workshop has attracted chairmen and secretaries of all the 18 Super League clubs.

“We want to develop a plan that FUFA should rely on to develop the league for the next 10 years. It is going to be a reference to gauge how far the league is developing every year,” FUFA competitions committee secretary Moses Magogo said yesterday.
