Basabose beats all to win June mug

IN-FORM golfer John Basabose claimed the MTN monthly mug for the month of June on Saturday at Uganda Golf Club. Basabose returned with a gross score of 75 to claim the mug while Solomon Kego was one shot off the pace with 76 gross.

IN-FORM golfer John Basabose claimed the MTN monthly mug for the month of June on Saturday at Uganda Golf Club. Basabose returned with a gross score of 75 to claim the mug while Solomon Kego was one shot off the pace with 76 gross.
John Mwalimu was the winner for Group A returning with 70 nett while Juma Biramire was runner-up with 72 nett on countback.
Henry Kamuntu scored 70 net to claim Group B with Richard Mwami finishing runner-up with 71.
Jaspher Kamukama won the ladies Group A returning 68 net with Petra Nalwoga finishing runner-up with 70 nett.
George Ayella beat Deo Akope on hole 12 after they had tied at 143 nett in the professionals mug race.
Meanwhile golfers will this weekend head for West Nile for the one day MTN Arua Open tournament.
