LUGAVE clan will not take part in the Bika soccer action for two years after they were found guilty of fielding an ineligible player against Mpologoma, Norman Katende reports.

Mpologoma had petitioned that goalkeeper Sulait Luyima actually belonged to Nte clan and not Lugave to which the organising committee concurred.

In today’s action, six time champions Mmamba continue with the quest to end a six-year drought when they face a a determined Ffumbe, in the first leg quarterfinal at Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.

With the experience of Hood Kaweesa and Sam Sennoga in the defence and midfielder Alex Ndugga on form, Ffumbe has what it takes to stop the former champions.

Mmamba will have to sharpen their striking line led by veteran striker Hassan Mubiru if they are to go past the hurdle in this Kobil sponsored 36th edition.

Mmamba will also have creative midfieldder Jeremiah Ssebuyira and Dan Mubiru and defender Sam Mubiru for a firm foundation.
