THE last time he performed in Kampala, it was part of a world tour to promote his then-new album, Fighting For My Life. He promised to be back soon.

Now the electric American Gospel artiste has made good on that promise and will be at Nakivubo Stadium this evening.

He is here courtesy of Pastor Irene Manjeri, of the Irene Manjeri Ministries and Mirinda. He is accompanied by US, evangelist Dr. John Peyton.

The show kicks off at 5:00pm and entrance fee is sh10,000 for the stands and sh50,000 for the pavilion. Local gospel musicians like Wilson Bugembe and Judith Babirye are expected to open for Franklin.

But it will not be just about the music and preaching. Junior Kazoora, the promotions manager in-charge of Crown Bottling, says they are extending the on-going Chamuka Keys promotion to the event where one lucky winner will drive away a Toyota Rav4 and other prizes.

The show promises to be another mesmerising experience for the audience as they will be sucked into Kirk’s boisterous, electrifying ‘holy-ghost’ party that left his audience longing for more last year.

Timeless hits like Imagine Me, Stomp, Revolution, Lean on Me and You are the One should all be sure to work the crowd.

Kirk’s music draws greatly on his unusual willingness to be open about his life in a bid to inspire others and show them God’s love.

His albums have charted on the gospel music charts and earned him platinum sales. He has won five Grammy awards and innumerable other awards the world over.
