EDITOR—I travelled from Entebbe International Airport aboard Ethiopian Airlines to Bombay with two bags, one containing a video camera.

At Entebbe Airport, I underwent the normal checking without much hassle. But when I reached Bombay Airport, I realised that one of my luggage padlocks had been broken. When I checked, I found my video camera missing.

I think this happened at Entebbe Airport where the luggage was screened.

Although I reported the matter to the security personnel at Entebbe, I have not recovered my camera which contains important footage of my stay in Uganda.

I appeal to the Entebbe Airport authorities to take more responsibility for passengers’ luggage. I understand some people are masquerading as airport workers to steal people’s valuables. Security personnel should take serious steps to eliminate these wrong elements.
