Ebonies back with new play

THEY have just returned from a fun-filled holiday in Las Vegas, Los Angeles (L.A) and New York in the US, as well as Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

THEY have just returned from a fun-filled holiday in Las Vegas, Los Angeles (L.A) and New York in the US, as well as Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Now equipped with up-to-the-minute production skills they learnt on their visit to U.S film studios like Universal, Paramount and Warner Bros, the Ebonies are set to showcase their acquisitions tomorrow in their new production, Trials and Tribulations of Love.
Opening at Theatre La Bonita at 4:45pm with a red-carpet reception and a cocktail, courtesy of Nile Breweries, the premiere will be broadcast live on NBS TV.
At the cocktail, fans will meet the Ebonies stars and take pictures with them. They will also congratulate Simon and Juliet Underwood Kalema upon their wedding which took place in Las Vegas.
The play, which was partly conceived and filmed in the US, takes us into the trials lovers experience. It is a continuation of the group’s Romantic Night series.
Ebonies’ director J.W Ssembajjwe says the lessons they learnt abroad have introduced a fresh acting style to this episode, which incorporates backdrops of beautiful Las Vegas, New York and L.A.
To grace the premiere will be Rwanda’s Ingyenzi Troup, Trinity Band, GNL Zamba, Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine and Mowzey Radio and Weasel. The play will also be staged on Eid Day — Sunday at 7:00pm.
