LAST week, we ran a story of an Aston Martin DBS we saw on Jinja Road with an unidentified gentleman of Asian origin in the driving seat. This is arguably the most expensive car in this part of the world.
We asked you to tell us on gossip@newvision.co.ug who you thought owned the car and we got some great responses. However, the two most seemingly credible ones are these: “That Aston Martin you wrote about is owned by a Ugandan based in Geneva; a loaded UN official by the names of Craig Evens.
It’s being driven by one of his business partners with strong Middle East connections.†The other: “That car belongs to Karim Somani of Metropolitan Properties and Metropole Hotel. It hit the road in May this year.
Clearly they both refer to different people or could Somani, be the partner refered to by the first respondent?
