French fan dies
A 28-year-old French soccer fan died in a Belgrade hospital on Tuesday after being injured in violence ahead of a Europa League match between Partizan Belgrade and Toulouse earlier this month. “Brice Taton died at 10.00am this morning,” Belgrade’s Medical Centre spokesman Drago Jovanovic told Reuters by telephone. Taton sustained multiple injuries to his head and chest after a group of Partizan fans attacked him with iron bars and baseball bats in a central Belgrade bar on September 17.

Lido beach hosts 1st gala
Tinka, Brobro, Silk and Lubaga Boys beach soccer teams will face it off in the semi-finals of the inaugural beach gala at Lido, Entebbe in November. The teams on Sunday excelled at the first ever beach soccer event.
