BUSIA-The Police have arrested a UPDF deserter suspected of defiling a 12-year-old Primary Seven girl. The acting CID officer, John Leo Othieno, on Thursday identified the suspect as Herbert Mbabazi, a resident of Nagwe B village in Dabani sub-county. Othieno said the victim is the daughter of Mbabazi’s girlfriend and that he defiled her while the mother was away.
Teachers quit meeting
JINJA-Teachers in Butagaya sub-county on Friday abandoned a meeting with the deputy RDC, Apollo Bwebale, after he ordered them to answer questions by show of hands. “You should know that I am the big boss at the moment. If you want to answer any question, respect me and do it by show of hands,†he told over 200 teachers assembled at the Gombolola headquaters.
