THE story of Enid Kyomugisha sparked off public debate about taking nude pictures in a relationship which can be used against you when the affair ends.

According to Bukedde last week, the lady, who works as a programme manager with the World Bank, got into an illicit relationship with Ronnie Ssesanga, 33, a resident of Wakaliga in Rubaga division, which went wrong and ended up in blackmail and exposure.

Married with five children, Enid Kyomugisha fell in love with Ssesanga whom she met in 2007 after a friend introduced him as a well-connected man working with the UNDP.

She was convinced Ssesanga would help her get a loan from UNDP for school construction and, in the process, the two fell in love.

Ssesanga convinced Kyomugisha that to qualify for the $1.5m loan, she needed to procure 20 acres of land on Entebbe Road, fenced and graded, with a title. Kyomugisha allegedly gave him sh500m to do it for her.

Later, Ssesanga came with a box, in which he claimed was the promised $1.5m but refused to open it saying they needed to take it for blessings at a shrine in Mityana.

However, the witchdoctor in Mityana wanted payment first and refused to release the box before Kyomugisha parted with payment.

She says she refused, and that sparked off the animosity between her and Ssesanga. Early one morning, she stormed his house to demand a refund of her money and Ssesanga threatened to expose their affair.

She reported the matter to the authorities, which prompted Ssesanga to send her husband pictures they took while they were still in love.

He also sent them to Bukedde, which ran them. The pictures were intimate and, in some cases, the lovebirds were naked.

One of the pictures shows Ssesanga caressing Kyomugisha’s breast and in another, they were kissing. She is now separated from her husband.

Ssesanga admits that Kyomugisha gave him money but insists it was only sh5m “But because she is jilted now, she wants to change the story to sh500m to have me imprisoned,” he says.

He says even when Kyomugisha reported him to the Wakaliga A Zone chairman, the money in contention was sh5m.

The chairman confirms he handled such a case. They signed an agreement where the man would refund the woman’s sh5m, he said.

He said he was forced to publicise the pictures because Kyomugisha wanted to destroy him.
