RADIO Rupiny 95.7fm has offered its northern Uganda listeners sh3m to be won in cash prizes.The promotion code- named ‘<i>Opoko Lim Rupiny</i>’, which means Rupiny money gourd, started on December 2 and will run for three months.

RADIO Rupiny 95.7fm has offered its northern Uganda listeners sh3m to be won in cash prizes.The promotion code- named ‘Opoko Lim Rupiny’, which means Rupiny money gourd, started on December 2 and will run for three months.
It is part of Vision Group’s social responsibility of giving back to the community, thanking them for supporting and accepting the company’s products and embracing Radio Rupiny in the northern region.
According to Monica Okot, the programme manager, lucky listeners will each win sh50,000.
“The presenters will play a clip of any song and ask the listeners to predict the song and the name of the artiste and then win the money,†she said
She explained that the promotion was part of the preliminary activities to the official launch of the radio slated for December 13 at Kaunda Grounds.
Charles Abalo of Lukung sub-county, Kitgum district, Martin Ojok of Minakulu and Tom Otim of Acaba, both sub-counties in Oyam district, were the first lucky winners.
Radio Rupiny is one of the five Vision Group’s regional radio stations set up across the country.
The others are the recently launched Etop Radio in Soroti, Radio West in Mbarara and Vision Voice and Bukedde radios in Kampala.
