FIFTEEN teams will compete for honours in 15 disciplines when the 13th edition of the inter-university games that start at Nkumba tomorrow.

FIFTEEN teams will compete for honours in 15 disciplines when the 13th edition of the inter-university games that start at Nkumba tomorrow.
The games organiser Patrick Sebuliba said athletics action will be at Kakeeka cricket oval in Entebbe while volleyball, basketball, handball, netball, darts, table tennis, woodball and chess events will be held at Nkumba University.
The bi-annual event is sponsored by MTN.
Champions Makerere are dominant in swimming where they are led by Olympian Aya Nakitanda and in rugby where their team forms the bulk of league side Impis.
In the run-up to the games, the National University Sports Federation of Uganda (NUSUF) has barred all persons above the age of 29 to participate.
“Some athletes have featured in these championships for over seven years and you wonder which course they are offering,†Sebuliba said.
