<b>Apac gets sh500m</b><br> <br>APAC-The Central Government has released sh500m for development activities in the district. The chief finance officer, Gapson Ogwal, on Thursday told journalists that sh290.6m was received under the Poverty Action Fund.

APAC-The Central Government has released sh500m for development activities in the district. The chief finance officer, Gapson Ogwal, on Thursday told journalists that sh290.6m was received under the Poverty Action Fund. The money will be spent on agricultural extension activities, the Universal Primary Education programme, road maintenance, water projects and Functional Adult Literacy programmes. Ogwal added that sh121.8m would be spent on primary health care and school facility grants.

Asian man arrested

ARUA-The Police have arrested an Asian businessman who has been on the wanted list over a number of offenses. Jamulthur Marakar Mohamed was arrested from the High Court premises recently. He had just appeared before the Chief Magistrate, Joseph Omodo Nyanga, over charges of operating an illegal business in Arua town
