Bishop tips on Kenya violence

TOROR-The bishop of Bukedi Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nicodemus Okille, has said the post-election violence in Kenya is a manifestation of bad politics. Speaking to Kenyan refugees at Mulanda Technical Institute recently, Okille said the political leaders had placed their interests at the forefront at the expense of God and the people. “Bad politics and lack of transparency breed injustice and the effects are being borne by the Kenyan refugees.”


Army recruit collapses dead

IGANGA-A man who was recently recruited into the army collapsed dead on Monday during a preliminary jogging exercise. A witness said the man was jogging in Kabira trading centre on Bunya Road when he suddenly fell down. “He raised his hands in the air before falling down. A van that was following them picked him up and took him away,” the source said. Lt. Col. Martin Temera, head of the UPDF recruitment team, confirmed the death.
