The Permanent Secretary, Vincent Ssekkono explained that although sh2.251b was still on the account, the ministry has to pay out sh2.77b to contractors. “We shall ask the Ministry of Finance to provide the funds. We made commitment on behalf of the Government that work has been done and more is being done,†the PS said.
