TOM Kigezi Nsabwa of Uganda Martyrs Namugongo told God that he wanted to get 25 points and his prayers were answered. The good news, delivered to him by his mother, found the 18-year-old in a computer class at New Horizons.

“I had to rush out and make some noise. My classmates did not know what it was all about,” an excited Nsabwa said at The New Vision head office yesterday

“To a certain extent I expected it. I joined ‘A’ Level prepared to work hard. I had to give back to my parents,” Nsabwa said as he hugged his father, Dr. Fred Yiga, a commissioner of Police based in Juba and his mother Beatrice Yiga, yesterday. Nsabwa got As in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics. He said he wanted to pursue engineering at the university.

He attributed his success to hard work, the leadership roles he took on and his good relationship with the teachers. Nsabwa was a prefect and a member of four clubs. He also commended his mother for always visiting him at school on visitation days.
