GULU and Amuru districts best pupils in the 2007 PLE results who did not have hope to continue with their studies due to lack of school fees, now have reason to smile.
Two girls who got aggregate eleven from district and the best boy with aggregate eight in Gulu district were among the 14 children who got sponsorship from the African Child Outreach Trust (ACOT) with funding from OMOANA, a Switzerland-based organisation.
The scholarship, that will take four years, was announced and awarded by ACOT director Simon Peter Okello and Guillaume Genoud of OMOANA at the UNOCHA board room in Gulu recently.
