THERE was wailing when two children belonging to different families were found dead in a parked saloon car in Kyebando, a Kampala city suburb yesterday afternoon.

Joel Mujuzi, 4, and Kenny Wish, 3, of Erisa zone in Kawempe division suffocated to death after they inadvertently locked a car they were playing in. The car belongs to Godfrey Olonsiu, the father of Wish.

Mujuzi’s parents, Susan Nakalema and Fred Kakeeto are relatives to Olonsiu and the two families live close to each other. Mujuzi and Wish are cousins and have been studying from His Grace Primary School in Kyebando.

A neighbour said Olonsiu picked the two children from school at 1:00pm, dropped them home and went to town, leaving his car behind.

“When he returned from town at around 5:00pm, the search for the two children was on. When he opened his car, they found them dead,” the neighbour narrated.
