AFTER serving at the Kampala Road-based fast food outlet for four years, singer Maurice Hasa of the Kaleke Kasome fame has thrown in the towel.

The stocky, soft-spoken singer, who has curved out a niche for himself singing songs that address the plight of abused children, has decided to follow his heart.

Hasa was overheard telling friends at singer Weasel’s crib in Najjanankumbi that he decided to quit Nandos, where he was a shift manager, to concentrate on his pet project, an NGO to advocate children’s rights.

He is curently sorting out the legal requirements for his project. However, he is not quitting the stage, as he reports to Weasel’s home-based studio everyday for voice rehearsals. All the best in your new endeavors, Hasa.
