WHEREAS humps are constructed on roads to reduce accidents, in Walukuba, Masese division in Jinja municipality, they have done the opposite.
Councillors have tasked the division engineer to come up with a remedy, saying the humps on Kyabazinga Road are a menace.
Herbert Wepukhulu, the LC3 vice-chairman, said there was need to paint the humps so that road-users can see them at a distance.
However, Magid Nsereko, who represents the division at the municipal council and a member of the finance committee, said they had recommended the erection of four signposts at the humps to warn motorists about their presence.
