Drivers rush to beat KCB deadline

UGANDAN top guns beat the registration deadline on Saturday to boost the number of local drivers in the KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda rally slated for April 25-27.

UGANDAN top guns beat the registration deadline on Saturday to boost the number of local drivers in the KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda rally slated for April 25-27.

Emma Katto (Subaru N14), Ronald Ssebuguzi (Evo4) and Jas Mangat (Subaru) entered the race to bring the number of Ugandan drivers to 15.

The event has attracted 26 drivers from as far as South Africa and Japan.

The Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda boss David Bitalo is expected to forward the entry list to FIA today.

Meanwhile, YO Uganda Limited have handed lady driver Rose Lwakataka a sh2m sponsorship package for the rally.

Yo’s finance manager Arnold Luwugge handed over the cheque to Lwakataka at their offices in Kampala.

Hotel Africana, Air Tanzania, Afsat, Fly 540.com, Fire Masters, Mityana Town Council, Packaging Technologies and Ssekanyolya are co-sponsors.
