EDITOR—Last year, 2334 people died in road accidents. This was mainly because of vehicles in poor mechanical condition, people without driving permits, speeding and overloading. This means the government cannot just fold its hands when the citizens are perishing.
EDITOR—Last year, 2334 people died in road accidents. This was mainly because of vehicles in poor mechanical condition, people without driving permits, speeding and overloading. This means the government cannot just fold its hands when the citizens are perishing.
This is why the Uganda passengers protection association (UPPA) as a body mandated to protect passengers’ rights in the country commend the exercise of the Police operation and pray that it continues countrywide without any fear or favour.
The violent strike by the taxi drivers last week was unjustified. the drivers and their conductors have cheated us for too long. What if the passengers also went on strike?
