Did you discuss love?
Yes. She told me about her former boyfriend, from whom she separated on grounds that he wasn’t faithful. I showed my interest immediately and she accepted to meet me again. I have called her several times since then to make special arrangements with her but she says she is busy; something to do with exams. But she says that as soon as she completes them, we will meet.
Was there anything you did not like about her?
I offered to drop her home and she refused. It seems she had an appointment with someone else. That is how many city girls behave.
Any way forward?
I have plans. One day she will go out with me again and I will convince her to love me. She doesn’t seem like a complicated person.

He was late. I was already seated at Choma when he arrived. I looked at him and thought; he doesn’t look my type. But we went on until late.

I expected a gentleman; presentable and smart. His dress style is not my preference.
What did you like about him?
He is a good company; he knows how to converse and told me a lot about his life. He cracked jokes and sang for m, which made my day. He also gave me money for transport back home and even asked to drop me home in his car but I turned down the offer, just because I did not trust him.
Did he ask you for love?
Yes he did. But I told him it was too early and so sudden. I said I was in a relationship with another guy and he took it lightly and asked agreed to remain friends.
Would you go out with him again?
Not really. He is okay but not my type.
So, is that the end of it all?
I don’t think there is anything more that is likely to put us together again. Maybe we can remain friends.
