THE Police have recovered the car in which the Mukono district Police commander, James Aurien, escaped after killing his wife, Christine Apolot.

THE Police have recovered the car in which the Mukono district Police commander, James Aurien, escaped after killing his wife, Christine Apolot.

Central regional CID chief, Rashid Juma, said the Toyota Corona was recovered from Bukedea town, in eastern Uganda on Monday.

“The car had blood stains. The Bukedea Police is keeping it.”

Aurien, who hails from Bukedea, which is 245 kilometres from Kampala, allegedly shot Apolot in the eye, shattering her head.

The incident happened at their home at Lugazi Police Station on Sunday.
Juma appealed to the public to help arrest the Police officer.

Apolot, who hailed from Soroti, was buried at Aurien’s home in Suula village in Bukedea on Tuesday.
