A NEW Police chief has been posted to Mukono district. Erisam Mugisha replaces James Aurien who is on the run after allegedly slaying his wife Christine Apolot early this week.

A NEW Police chief has been posted to Mukono district. Erisam Mugisha replaces James Aurien who is on the run after allegedly slaying his wife Christine Apolot early this week.
Mugisha has been the Mbarara district Police commander.
The central regional CID chief, Rashid Juma, said Mugisha’s deputy had taken over at Mbarara.
Juma, who added that the hunt for Aurien was still on, explained that the fugitive senior Police officer would be charged with murder when is arrested.
“If he (Aurien) proves his innocence, then he will be reinstated and posted to another district.â€
