The Jinja town clerk, David Kigenyi Naluwayiro, has been transferred to Soroti municipality. He will be replaced by David Bashakara, the former Mbarara town clerk, reports Esther Mukyala.
The local government permanent secretary, Vincent Ssekkono, said the transfer took effect on April 21.
Naluwayiro had served as a town clerk in Jinja for nine years after taking over from Charles Katarikawe.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Makerere University, a post-graduate diploma in public administration and a Master’s degree in management.
