We refer to a letter published on April 22 entitled, “Migereko, what’s up?” on unstable electricity supply to Kakindu on Entebbe Road.

Umeme is aware of the poor power supply at Kakindu for which we truly apologise. As part of the programme for the refurbishment of our entire network, system improvement works in this area are scheduled to be carried out up to May 21 to give our customers in this area improved quality of power supply. Among other things, Umeme will replace the poles, change/replace transformers as well as the electric conductors in the area.
