THE local football federation will reschedule all of next week’s Super League matches to give national coach Laszlo Csaba enough time to prepare the Cranes for their Africa Championship return leg against Tanzania.

Before the first leg that Uganda lost 2-0, players failed to enter camp until the last day because of a busy league schedule.

“We want to overturn the Mwanza result. All the matches, starting Monday, have been put off and will be rescheduled after the Tanzania game,” FUFA media committee head Rogers Mulindwa announced at yesterday’s media briefing.

FUFA had hoped to conclude the league next week to give Cranes time to prepare for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.

Mulindwa also announced that the request for Boroboro to have their match against Express postponed had been granted.

Boroboro meanwhile has petitioned FUFA to nullify their 1-0 Super League loss to table leaders KCC FC on Tuesday.

Club secretary Denis Akwar wrote to FUFA referees’ standing committee, citing irregularities at the match that included the absence of a match commissioner and an officially appointed assistant referee.

Akwar also contested the decision by stand-in assistant referee Peter Erem to disallow an equaliser by Boroboro. Centre referee Ronnie Kalema had initially allowed the goal that followed a free-kick.
