THE Ministry of Energy employee, who was found dead in her office at Amber House on Wednesday, might have been murdered, according to the Police.

Initial reports suggested that Rose Among, the principal secretary to the director of energy, had committed suicide.

A bottle containing liquid and a tin of black powder were found near the body, prompting speculation that she could have died of poisoning.

But a police detective told Saturday Vision that Among might have been the victim of a robbery. The attackers might have targeted a cash amount of sh8m, which she reportedly was carrying the day before she died.

The Police are interrogating her colleagues as part of the investigations. A requiem service was held at All Saints’ Church, Nakasero and the body was taken to her home village in eastern Uganda.
