TROUBLED Pastor William Muwanguzi has delivered the vehicle, which he is accused of stealing, to the Police.

The sh24m Land Cruiser, which belongs to Michael Sango, was parked at Katwe Police Station in Kampala on Saturday.

Muwanguzi of the Holy Fire Ministries in Entebbe last week said his wife, a Congolese, had travelled to Beni in the Eastern DR Congo in the vehicle.

Muwanguzi, commonly known as Kiwedde, had earlier told the Police that his wife had gone to attend a burial in Fort Portal, Western Uganda.

But despite returning the vehicle, the Police said it would continue pursuing the theft case against the pastor. “He will appear in the court over charges of theft,” the Katwe Police station crime chief, George Kirya, said.

Muwanguzi, who claims he has healing powers, said he had a “barter trade” deal with Sango.

“I offered them my Pajero and I promised to top up later. When I got a four-day trip, they placed announcements on radio saying I had disappeared.”

He said when he left for his trip, his wife also travelled to Congo yet she was the one meant to a sign the cheque to clear the debt.
