KAMPALA City Council has started a new drive to plant trees along several streets and restoring its green parks to make the city greener and beautiful.

KAMPALA City Council has started a new drive to plant trees along several streets and restoring its green parks to make the city greener and beautiful.

Godfrey Kisekka the Town Clerk in-charge of Kampala Central said, sh200m has been allocated for the project.

“We have completed planting along Nile Avenue and the National Theatre and it looks beautiful. The team has now embarked on planting along Kampala Road,” Kisekka said.

Kisekka’s team will also plant trees between Kibuye and Natete along Masaka Road in Rubaga division.
He also said the activities will cover Sheraton and Railway parks.
