NRM reopens district offices
GULU-The NRM has re-opened its district offices which had been closed for over two years for non-payment of rent arrears worth sh4.8m. The acting district party chairman, Ben Acellam, told journalists on Saturday that they had agreed to reopen the offices as they appeal to the headquarters to settle the rent arrears. He was flanked by the landlord, David Lakony.

Lukyamuzi wants apology
LIRA-Conservative Party president John Ken Lukyamuzi wants an apology from the district police chief, Raymond Otim, for ‘mistreatment.’ Briefing journalists at Pacific Hotel after his anti-DDT rally on Saturday, Lukyamuzi accused the Police of denying him the chance to use a brass band and restricting their march. But Otim said he would not apologise because the rally “was successful.”
