DEFENDING champions Mogas Falcons play rivals Kyambogo Warriors in the first meeting of the two sides since the 2007 MTN National Basketball league play-off finals.

The Falcons, who have set the early pace and are currently leading the table on 14 points, overcame the Warriors 3-2 in the best-of-five series to claim the 2007 the men’s basketball championship.
Today’s meeting is a chance for the Warriors to claim a slice of revenge.
The Falcons have lost twice this season but won three straight games last week.

This will be a difficult proposition for the Warriors who have only one loss although have played four games less than their rivals. The Warriors are in third place on nine points.

The other men’s encounter pits two teams that recorded similar midweek victories. Both Power and Miracle netted 90 against Crane High on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively but either will have to sweat to replicate such a total, let alone secure the win.

In the women’s encounter, the Lady Bucks take on the Makerere Sparks in an unpredictable mid-table fixture.
