He found me already seated having a drink. When he approached me, he was on phone and asked me to excuse him. He greeted me after the call. He asked me where I live, what I do and whether I am married or not.

I told him I have a boyfriend and he told me he is married, with three children. He asked if I was driving and I told him I wasn’t. He told me he would drop me after the date. When we left Choma, we first stopped at his place of work in Majestic Plaza where he got caught up with some work. I excused myself and left.

What struck you about him?
He is a down-to-earth, social and care free.

Do you think you impressed him?
Yes. He really enjoyed my company and said he wanted us to be friends. He even suggested that we go to the place he usually hangs out with his friends after the date.

Had you ever seen him before, since he is a musician?
Yes, on TV. I even told him that his face was familiar. When he asked where I had seen him, I could not remember but I later remembered it was in his music videos.

Did you tell your boyfriend about the date?
No, he is in South Africa. But I don’t think he will be offended because he knows I like appearing in papers.

Have you talked to your date since then?
He called me at night to find out if I had reached home safely and the next morning I sent him a ‘hi’ message.

When I arrived at Choma I was directed to where Saphina was seated. I found her reading a book and for a moment she didn’t seem to realise I was the person she was waiting for. I introduced myself and explained why I had kept her waiting; I was busy.

She said my face was familiar and I asked her to guess who I was. She mistook me for Red Banton, but I told her I am Dr. Propa. We discussed music and I asked her how she liked Ugandan music industry. She said she had no problem with it and even has some friends who are musicians.

She asked me if I was seeing someone and I told her I have a wife and two daughters. She told me she has two boyfriends; one in Uganda and the other in South Africa. We then agreed to be good friends.

What did you enjoy most about the date?
The conversation. She confessed that she had not expected me to be that friendly. Since then we have continued to be in touch; she even called me a few minutes ago.

How about the lady?
She is jolly. I have even included her in the video I am currently shooting.

Anything you didin’t like about her?
Basically, there was nothing.

Sounds like she’s a threat to your kids’ mother
Oh no! My wife is a queen. I think among the musicians, I am the one with the best looking woman.
