KAMPALA Coaches has introduced a new interstate bus service, covering all neighbouring capital cities.

The buses operating at the Cooper Complex, Arua Bus Park and Jinja Road opposite Shell Petrol Station ply the Juba, Kigali, Arusha and Nairobi routes.

All the 12 buses have 44-passenger capacities.

Arrangements are at advanced stages to expand to Gisenyi and Bujumbura in Burundi, Mohamed Abdul, the chief executive, disclosed.

“We want to give passengers an enjoyable experience free from the usual hassle.

“Our challenge is that we retain all our passengers and we are prepared to listen to them attentively,” Abdul said.

“We have no barriers between our ticketing staff and the customers because we want them to feel comfortable with ticket sellers.

“We encourage them to find it a friendly experience to buy out tickets in a relaxed way and be able to ask any questions they have,” he explained.

Travellers from Kampala to Nairobi will pay sh45,000 for one way, Juba sh100,000 and Kigali sh25,000, Abdul said.
