DR. Ronnie “Mitch” Egwang is a celebrated master of ceremony, radio personality and former presenter of MNet’s ‘Deal or No Deal’.

Egwang is wearing a black pinstriped suit from the La vie Boutique at the Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala.

The suit cost sh900,000 and Egwang says he bought the rest of his items; shirt, shoes, stockings, tie and wristwatch from France.

However, Mitch’s French designer clothes can be bought from the Designers’ Corner opposite NSSF House.
At this shop, executive men’s shirts cost sh120,000; silken neckties go for sh50,000; while stockings go for sh40,000 per pair. Genuine brand Swiss watches for men cost sh400,000 at the Time Zone, Garden City.

Shoes similar to Egwang’s can be bought from Street Feet Shoes on Sunset Arcade for at least sh250,000. All together, one has to part with about sh1.7m to attain Mitch’s clothing.

But you can look like Mitch for a cheaper price. Head to Man About Town at the Kampala Road-Entebbe Road junction, next to Steers. Here, Pierre Cardin suits go for as low as sh150,000.

Select Garments on JBK Plaza offers a more complete package; suit, tie, stockings, cufflinks and shoes, altogether at sh550,000.

A shopper can then head to Kyakuwa General Enterprises where nice wristwatches for men cost sh70,000 upwards. Men’s shoes, similar to Mitch, can be bought from the Ramirez shoes on Ben Kiwanuka Street for sh150,000.

But since this is a second-hand shop, the salespeople are open to haggling. Altogether, one can achieve Mitch’s look from downtown for sh770,000.
