Mary Reparatrix School, Entebbe
There was a joint debate with Greenstar School at 4:00pm in which students discussed how to stop school fires. The students are preparing a skit on family violence to be presented to the whole school on Friday. A Peace Week has been set aside (July 25 to August 1) to prepare for the Peace Day. During the Peace Week, the Fine Art department will have an exhibition of art pieces depicting Peace.

Kyambogo College School
There will be a peace march on Friday and neighbouring schools have been invited to participate. The Kyambogo Teachers Peace Dialogue will be held this afternoon. The students are organising a skit based on violence at home to be presented on Monday next week.

Sacred Heart SS, Gulu
This week there will be a debate on the motion: Too much power given to prefects is a major cause of strikes. The school is arranging to have the debate hosted by Radio King, Gulu. The peace project has tremendously changed the attitude of students.

Duhaga SS, Hoima
Two debates have been held so far and students are planning to hold another debate on Friday.

Kings College Buddo
There will be a debate on Wednesday 2:30pm–3:30pm. August 3, has been proposed as the date for Peace Day.

Taibah College
The students presented a skit on anger management to the assembly. The skit depicted causes of anger at school and home and how to deal with them. This week, the students will discuss xenophobia in South Africa.

Mityana Secondary School
There will be a debate on Sunday on the motion, Lack of parental guidance is the main cause of strikes in schools.

Entebbe Secondary School
The week is both tight and exciting as the school prepares itself for their Peace Day tomorrow. Parents and headteachers of neighbouring schools have been invited. There will be plays, songs, dances and speeches presented by the students on the theme of ‘Peace’. The school’s Fine Art department is preparing an exhibition with creatively designed peace badges and other art pieces depicting the theme of peace.

Luzira Secondary School
Activities were delayed a bit by the sports day. The students are compiling documents (conflict in northern Uganda) to be presented next week.
