LASZLO Csaba hit back at FUFA yesterday with a dossier that vindicates him after he terminated his contract as Uganda Cranes coach.

Through his legal representatives Muwema and Mugerwa Advoctates and Solicitors, the Hungarian stressed that he endured a torrid two-years in Uganda.

According to Csaba’s submission FUFA is entitled to $US19,999 (sh32m) and not £120,000 (sh396m) as as compensation.

“Our client in his termination notice offered to pay three months salary in lieu of notice to FUFA, which offer still subsists,” lawyer Fred Muwema told the press.

He asked FUFA for their bank details so that they could deposit the money on Csaba’s behalf.

Csaba’s defence follows FUFA’s threat to sue the former Cranes boss over the manner in which he quit his post to take charge at Scottish Premier League side Hearts.

The federation has threatened to write to the world governing body FIFA unless Csaba’s new employers pay compensation to Uganda.

However, the Hungarian cited several breaches in the contract which he insists do not entile FUFA to compensation.

Among them were delayed payment, failure to provide a driver and Dstv; inconsistent or non-payment of water and electricity bills, delayed or inconsistent payment of school fees for his children and failure to provide medical attention.

Csaba also claims that despite several pleas to FUFA to legalise his stay in Uganda, he worked for close to two years without a work permit.

Csaba’s lawyers also adduced evidence that their client suffered the embarrassment of dishonored cheques, citing DFCU cheque no.002153 dated April 4, 2008.
