THREE people were murdered on Monday in different parts of Kibaale district. In one incident, a mutilated body of a 42-year-old man was dumped near Birembo technical institute in Kasambya sub-county.

The chief of criminal investigations, Michael Ogwal, identified the deceased as Karoli Kisembo, a resident of Birembo village in Kasambya sub-county.
Ogwal said Kisembo was reportedly beaten to death by his brother Polikalipo Sekate.

The motive of the murder was still unknown since Sekate is still on the run.
Ogwal said Kisembo’s legs and hands were chopped off and the neck and face had multiple wounds.

Meanwhile, the Police is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of John Kiiza, a resident of Nyabinanga village in Bwikara sub-county.

Kiiza’s body was discovered in Kyema village on Monday. On the same day, a mob lynched a suspected bicycle thief in Kisiita sub-county.

Ogwal could not identify the deceased but the Police picked the body for a postmortem examination, whose results had not been released by press time.

He warned the public against taking the law in their hands, saying the Police will investigate and apprehend the perpetrators.

The Bushenyi Woman MP Mary Karooro said recently that people have lost confidence in the Police because it covers up cases.
