EDITOR—I wish to thank state minister for transport Simon Ejua for what he did to save the lives of  the passengers on a Kitgum-bound bus last week.

The driver was driving recklessly on a road that is being repaired! After all the lives that have been lost in this manner, I would expect drivers to be sensible.
The driver could have killed the minister when the bus hit the minister’s car from behind.

It is good Ejua had body guards who caught him. What would have happened to an ordinary Ugandan? What is interesting is that when the driver was taken to the police, the Police officers were not surprised that the man had been arrested because they knew him to be a reckless driver!

The Mobile Police assistant inspector, Robert okia, acknowledged that the same man had once driven through a Police road block!
