UGANDA Christian University (UCU), Mukono, is establishing a constituency college, to serve the West Nile region.

Sources have revealed that the college will be opened at the St. Paul’s Study Centre, located at Ringili on the outskirts of Arua town.

The five-year-old centre has been offering selected UCU courses. Over 387 students have graduated there.

The centre’s director, the Rev. Dr. Milton Anguyo, said the UCU vice-chancellor, Prof. Steven Noll, on February 5 sent a team to assess their infrastructural and staffing status.

“This development is going to revolutionarise access to university education in this region. It has been difficult for parents due to costs associated with the long distance to universities in other regions,” Anguyo said. He was speaking at the graduation of 177 students recently.
