CHAMPIONS KCC lost their second consecutive match as Simba maintained its Super League lead by beating Boroboro yesterday.

Bunamwaya showed no respect for KCC with a brace from Yuda Mugalu and the other goal from Ceaser Okhuti.

Footballer of the year Brian Omony pulled one back for KCC with a spectacular volley but the effort was not enough to stop Bunamwaya.

“I’ve made history. I’m the first Bunamwaya coach to beat KCC,” bragged Jackson Mayanja after the Nakivubo match.

The match turned bloody in the second half with Okhuti being rushed to hospital after an aerial collision with Asuman Buyinza. KCC’s Sam Senoga was also sent off by referee Brian Nsubuga for kicking Julius Mulindwa.

In Bombo, an Churchill Kamba 88th minute goal gave Simba a four point lead on the table after Musa Mudde lead had been cancelled by Boroboro’s Daniel Angwa.

At Ssaza ground, Iganga registered their first win of the season by edging visiting Kinyara through an Edgar Luzige 70th minute goal.

At Ntenjeru, Nalubaale beat Bugerere thanks to goals from Nigerian Jonathan Abgibe.

Tailing Kakira pulled off the day’s other surprise by holding Maji at Luzira. Asad Makibwe gave Maji the lead before Kakira got a point with a Ibrahim Kapengere equaliser. In Lira Moses Tumwebaze helped Mbarara Youfra its third league win.
