FORMER IBF junior middleweight champion Kassim “The Dream” Ouma returns to the ring on Saturday after a seven-month break from the sport.

Ouma faces Martinus Clay in Philadelphia in a non-title professional boxing fight.

During his seven-month break, he took time off to wed Jalia Nandawula, but cut short his honeymoon to go into camp for this fight.

The Florida-based Ugandan will use the fight to get back among the world title contenders after losing ground in all the world boxing ranks.

Last March, little unknown journeyman Cornelius “K-9” Bunderage beat the flamboyant Ugandan fighter. It marked a third defeat in a row after defeats by former WBC/WBO middleweight champion Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor and Mexican Saul Roman.

Meanwhile, former national captain Shariff Bogere continued his unbeaten rise in the paid ranks with a unanimous points decision over Alejandro Lopez in a super featherweight contest recently.
