THE Minister for Ethics, Dr. Nsaba Buturo, on Friday held talks with pastor Isaac Kiwewesi, who has been accused of sodomy. The Kampala meeting was attended by several leaders of born-again churches in Kampala.
The minister told journalists yesterday that Kiwewesi gave a statement regarding the saga.
Buturo, however, declined to reveal what was in Kiwewesi’s statement, saying the Police had to be given opportunity to investigate the matter.
Over a week ago, Kiwewesi was accused of sodomy by a man claiming to be a member of his church.
The man, who identified himself as Andrew Arinaitwe, claimed that the pastor had sodomised him from 2004 to 2006 and promised him money, which he never delivered.
Kiwewesi called the allegations a concoction of people who want to tarnish his name.
“They have caused damage to my church, family and friends and to the good image I have built over the years,†he said.
